PLAYGROUND SCRIPT

The room is dimly lit, a hexagonal structure stands towards the back right corner of the space in a pool of sand. Ceramic spheres are placed around the room for characters to walk around.

CHARACTERS enter the room. Lights brighten as CHARACTERS fill the space.

Roles: The ROLE is performed for 5 minutes unless otherwise instructed.

  1. Stand in the left corner of the room. Locate ****. Without alerting their awareness, keep an eye on their movement. When they enter the central structure, promptly enter from the opposite side. Exit from a different exit they do, and then stand as far away from them in the room. If they go back into the central structure, repeat the last instruction.

  2. Walk around the room 3 times counter-clockwise. Locate ***** tell them what you had for breakfast today.

  3. Walk around the room clockwise 5 times faster than you would walk to the grocery store. Enter the central structure and blow a raspberry.

  4. Walk directly into the central structure, stand there for 30 seconds, make one goal for the day and exit. Sit in a corner of your choice and stay for 1-4 minutes.

  5. Give **** a high five and any change in your pocket. Walk to the central structure and enter through a red circle side. Exit from another side and go stand in a corner of your choice.

  6. Take off your shoes and walk through the structure carrying your shoes. Go sit down and put your shoes back on.

  7. Go up to **** and tell them something you are afraid of. Move about the room after as you please.

  8. Move about the space, before the end of the crit session, stand up and clap your hands above your head and say “How do you do?”

  9. Move about the space as you please, make sure to do 5 squats within the first 5 minutes of entering the room.

  10. Stand in the far right corner of the room. Locate ****. Without alerting their awareness, keep an eye on their movement. When they enter the central structure, promptly enter from the opposite side. Exit from a different exit they do, and then stand as far away from them in the room. If they go back into the central structure, repeat the last instruction.

  11. Walk in and out of the structure a few times.

  12. Sit on the floor next to the balls.

  13. Don’t make eye contact with anyone for 5 minutes.

  14. Locate ***** and ******. Stay as far away from them as possible for 5 minutes. If they come near, move to where they are not.

  15. Clap once every time someone coughs or sneezes.

  16. Only walk side to side, never forward or backwards.

  17. Go up to ***** and ask what their favourite colour and most disliked food is.

  18. Make a silly face if ***** looks or speaks to you.
